Community Life

There are over 1800 Daughters of St Paul around the world. Here in Australia we have communities in Sydney and Melbourne.  Sharing life in community is an essential and enriching element of our Pauline vocation.

In Australia our style of community life is a simple one. We share in the Eucharist daily and gather together for prayer throughout the week. We also take time each day for personal prayer, especially daily meditation on the Word of God and a personal Hour of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament each day.

We are strongly committed to our ministry and seek to have for ourselves only what is necessary so that we can devote more of our resources towards our extraordinary mission of bring Christ to all people.

Many of our Sisters in Australia are missionary Sisters who have come from overseas and have generously committed their lives to proclaiming the Gospel among the people of Australia. Thus, our communities are also notably multicultural in character. This deepens our respect for, and appreciation of, the diversity among cultures and nationalities. This multicultural dimension of our communities helps us to stay connected with the changing face of Australian society.
